Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce Excellence Awards Luncheon
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Chamber of Commerce honors those who make an impact in the community.
The Chamber hosted their annual Excellence Awards Luncheon today, which included the Athena & Young Athena Awards, as well as Small Business of the Year, Nonprofit of the Year and Minority or Woman Owned Business of the Year.
Recipients included Dr. Martha Sales, Dean of Students at Western Kentucky, the Martin Management Group and the Family Enrichment Center.
Each recipient is honored to receive these awards from the Chamber and the community.
“It’s a big privilege to be recognized for your hard work and just being recognized… the people noticing the hard work that we do for the businesses,” Sasa Mandrapa, winner of Small Business of the year and owner of Burger & Bowl, The Bistro, Novo Dolce, The Pub by Novo, Speeza and Toro says.
The Athena award, won by Dr. Sales, recognizes those who demonstrate leadership qualities in their profession.
The Young Athena award, won by Brooke Schakat from the Perry Richey Group, honors a young woman who demonstrates excellence and serves as a role model for young women both personally and professionally.
