Bowling Green Chamber names Jim Page as new president and CEO

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce has selected veteran chamber executive Jim Page as its next president and chief executive officer, bringing more than two decades of chamber leadership and economic development experience to south-central Kentucky.
Page most recently served as executive vice president of MartinFed, a Huntsville, Alabama-based government and technology consulting firm. Prior to that role, he spent more than 11 years as president and CEO of the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama, where he led one of the nation’s most recognized chamber organizations.
He succeeds interim Bowling Green Area Chamber President and CEO Meredith Wilson and longtime President and CEO Ron Bunch, who announced his retirement late last year after more than 30 years leading the organization.
Page’s chamber career spans more than two decades. Before arriving in Tuscaloosa, he served as vice president for public policy and business development at the Decatur-Morgan County Chamber of Commerce in Alabama.
During his tenure in West Alabama, Page helped launch and expand West AlabamaWorks, a nationally recognized workforce development initiative that connected employers with education and training partners. He also played a key role in developing The EDGE, a regional entrepreneurship and innovation hub designed to support startups and small businesses.
Under Page’s leadership, the Chamber of Commerce of West Alabama earned national recognition, including being named the 2021 Chamber of the Year by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives, one of the highest honors in the chamber industry.
Page has also been involved in major regional infrastructure, workforce and economic development efforts throughout Alabama and holds the Certified Chamber Executive designation, the highest professional certification awarded to chamber executives.
The Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce states it is one of Kentucky’s leading business organizations and has been instrumental in recruiting major employers, supporting workforce initiatives and promoting economic growth throughout south-central Kentucky.
Page takes over at a time of continued growth in the Bowling Green area, which has seen significant industrial expansion, workforce demands and economic development activity in recent years.
