Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce hosts virtual networking class
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – With Kentucky’s unemployment rate among the highest in the nation, having access to potential job leads is more important now than ever. Tuesday afternoon, the Bowling Green Area Chamber of Commerce held a virtual networking class for anyone interested in learning how virtual networking works.
Virtual networking is a tool not only for job seekers but also for people needing leads in sales, as well, since most face-to-face activity has been put on hold. Networking events in the virtual world can be more fast-paced than face-to-face events.
Matt Ward, today’s speaker in the networking class, says there isn’t a one-size-fits-all virtual networking event, with each event being organized differently, according to the organizer’s needs.
Ward also said many companies have begun embracing online formats for networking since the self-quarantines and work-from-home requirements of the COVID-19 pandemic were instituted.
