Body identified as missing Breckinridge County woman last seen 2 years ago

BRECKINRIDGE COUNTY, Ky. (K105) – A body has been identified as a woman missing from Breckinridge County since July 2024.
According to a report by K105, exactly two years later, the Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office stated Tuesday that the remains were identified as 64-year-old Evelyn Blake, who had been reported missing. The report states her remains had been discovered near Glen Dean on March 9, 2025.
A family member reported Blake disappeared on July 21, 2024 around 6 p.m., according to K105.
According to the report, she was last known to be in the 4000 block of Old Railroad Road.
The sheriff’s office states her body was identified through DNA analysis.
Blake’s cause of death remains under investigation.
“The investigation into the circumstances surrounding Evelyn’s death remains active and ongoing,” according to the sheriff’s office. “At this time the manner and cause of death remain under investigation and investigators continue to pursue all active leads.”
