Bluegrass Dedicated LLC expanding fleet

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – July 8th, 2021 – Bluegrass Dedicated LLC announces the purchase of twenty-five new semi-trailer trucks to further expand its growing fleet and capacity for customers in the area. “We are making over a three-million-dollar investment to further facilitate the growth of our company, and to accommodate the need in our area. Because of the tremendous influx of new business entities in our region, our goal is to provide a solution to companies that have a greater logistics need,” said John Higgins, CEO of Bluegrass Dedicated LLC and Bluegrass Supply Chain LLC.

With additional trucking hubs in Shepherdsville, KY; Anderson, SC; Memphis, TN; and Portland, TN; Bluegrass Dedicated has its headquarters and largest percentage of drivers and related equipment in Bowling Green, KY. This expansion, expected in the fall of this year, will create numerous additional jobs for CDLA drivers and related support staff in the South-Central Kentucky region and allow for more efficiencies with businesses needing these services from the current, capacity-constrained, trucking services sector.

The new vehicles will be equipped with the latest onboard telemetrics and safety technology such as Omnitracs software and Smartdrive camera systems that add the benefits of real-time asset visibility.
