Blast of spring snow hits California

(KCRA) Winter won’t let go in parts of California.

A blast of spring snow hit the High Sierra Thursday.

The slick roads caused a semi-truck to crash along Interstate 80, which shut down part of the highway for hours.

Chain controls are in effect up and down the mountains due to the spring storm.

More snow sleet and rain are expected in the area into the weekend.
