BGPD arrests Bowling Green man and woman on charges related to rape

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green Police Department arrested a man on rape charges and a woman on complicity to those charges on Friday.

Police stated they were notified in the early morning on Friday, May 13 of a delayed rape. Officers spoke to the victim, who told police she was kidnapped, raped, sodomized, strangled, assaulted and video recorded by a man named Colton Hogendorn, according to BGPD.

Police located Hogendorn at his home at 520 Chestnut St. BGPD Crisis Negotiators were able to convince Hogendorn to leave his house, and he was taken into custody without incident, stated police.

Hogendorn, 28, of Bowling Green is charged with rape, first degree – incapable of consent/physically helpless – with serious physical injury, kidnapping – with serious physical injury, strangulation, first degree, assault, first degree, sodomy, first degree – incapable of consent/physically helpless – with serious physical injury and video voyeurism.

Bowling Green Police stated that during the investigation, they determined Chessa Manion was present and allowed the events to take place.

Manion, 32, of Bowling Green is charged with complicity to the same charges.

Both are lodged in the Warren County Detention Center.

The investigation is ongoing and more charges are expected.
