BGFD gets a little cooler…thanks to a new Corvette!

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- The Bowling Green Fire Department just increased the cool factor thanks to a donation from the Corvette Plant.

Monday morning, firefighters gathered to receive the 2022 bright red Corvette at the National Corvette Museum.

The Corvette will be raffled off at their 9th annual Fireman’s Ball later this year.

The proceeds from the raffle tickets will go to help those in need… funding programs like the Shop with a Firefighter event and Thanksgiving baskets.

“This is the first time we’ve done this and it’s not a one shot deal for us, we’ll be here every year and what’s special about this Corvette is it’s personalized…the last 3 on the VIN number is 911,” said BGFD Chief Justin Brooks.

The Fireman’s Ball is November 19th at the National Corvette Museum, sponsored by SERVPRO of Warren County.

In the months leading up to the ball, you’ll get a chance to see the Corvette at parades, firefighter recruitment, prevention events, and more.
