BG Noon Lions Club: 71st all-you-can-eat pancakes for $6
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Did someone say all you can eat pancakes? On Monday, it was the 71st annual pancake day put on by the Bowling Green Noon Lions Club.
They invited the community to come out to The Presbyterian Church in downtown Bowling Green from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. and eat pancakes for $6.
All of the proceeds go to fund eyeglasses for those in need. They also accepted donations of used eyeglasses.
Last year, they put the event on hiatus due to Covid, but they were happy to be back, saying there’s many more years to come.
“It’s just a family friendly day and event. I can remember going back when I was in grade school. So I’ve been coming to over 30 pancake days over the years with my parents and a lot of the parents will bring their kids after school,” said pancake day chairman Sam Kirtley.
Kirtley said they expect to have served 500 people pancakes by the end of the day.
