Barricaded subject taken into custody in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – One man is in custody following an hours-long barricade incident in Clarksville, Tennessee.
According to the Clarksville Police Department, officers remained on scene throughout the night trying to peacefully resolve the situation on the 600 block of Sturdivant Drive.
Police say this follows after crisis negotiators made several attempts to communicate with the individual and encourage him to voluntarily exit the home and surrender, however, he refused to cooperate.
Authorities say the incident continued into Tuesday morning, when Clarksville Police Department’s tactical unit entered the residence.
Police say the suspect was located in the home and taken into custody without incident around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday.
No injuries were reported, authorities say.
The subject, whose identity has not been released, has been charged with violation of a condition of release.
