Barren County Schools introduces temperature screening technology for schools

GLASGOW, Ky. – One local school district, starting in person classes in just a few weeks, is introducing a new tool to help screen students upon entering the building.

Barren County Schools purchased a high tech, no contact, temperature taking machine that students will use when entering their bigger schools.

Students, faculty, and staff will put their wrists next to the sensor and the $800 machine will read their temperatures in mere seconds.

While currently the school system only has two, they hope to purchase more soon.

Until then, some of the buildings will still have to use hand held thermometers.
