Barren County barber goes viral

GLASGOW, Ky.- A Glasgow native is going viral online for his transformative haircutting techniques.

Grant Branham, a third-generation barber at Vintage Barber Shop in Glasgow, is building a following for the confidence he helps give his clients.

His father and grandfather have served the community for a combined 78 years, making barbering a family tradition.

Nathan Branham, Grant’s father, said he was surprised to see his son follow in his footsteps.

“It kind of surprised me he wanted to do it, but I’m glad he did,” Nathan said.

Grant says his path to becoming a barber wasn’t always clear.

“I actually thought I was going to be a real estate agent for the longest time, but I felt like God was calling me to be a barber,” Grant said.

After graduating from JC’s Barber College, he began cutting hair — and in December 2025, one of his transformation videos went viral.

“I had a client come in after a no-show, and I was able to get him in that day,” he said. “That video ended up taking off and got around 50 million views.”

That viral moment helped grow his audience from about 10,000 followers to more than 500,000 across social media platforms. He now says he’s aiming to reach one million.

“It’s truly a blessing. I’ve had people come from 12 different states and even another country,” Grant said. “When they get out of the chair and tell me I changed the way they see themselves, that’s what it’s all about.”
