Arrest made in 2017 murder of Allen County man

SCOTTSVILLE, Ky.- An Allen County man has been charged with murder stemming from the 2017 shooting death of Wendell O. Jackson.

According to a news release from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Jackie Mutter, 64, of Scottsville.

Mutter was arrested after deputies say they executed search warrants at multiple residences on Wednesday. The warrants were obtained in relation to the ongoing investigation into Jackson’s death, which occurred on Hade Bell Road.

Deputies say the searches revealed approximately 21 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine and multiple firearms at Mutter’s residence.

As the investigation progressed, deputies say the evidence was obtained linking Mutter to Jackson’s death.

Mutter is charged with murder, trafficking in a controlled substance-methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon and endangering the welfare of a minor.

Mutter is lodged in the Allen County Detention Center.
