ARK’s Dawgy Dash supports Hart County animal welfare

HART COUNTY, Ky. – Hart County shelters pets are better supported thanks to ARK’s 2026 Dawgy Dash.

The event, which took place this past Saturday, invited locals to run, walk and even bring a leashed dog, all to support ARK’s work in the community.

ARK for Hart is a local nonprofit supporting the Hart County Animal Shelter and programs to improve animal welfare.

Funds raised from the event will be used for ARK’s support and expansion of the Hart County Animal Shelter, its feline foster/adoption program, its Trap-Neuter-Return program for stray cats, spay/neuter/rabies vouchers to reduce the number of unwanted pets, educational outreach and providing information and solutions for pets and pet owners, according to organizers.
