UPDATE: Adair County Schools resume operations following bomb threat

UPDATE (2:45 pm) – Adair County Schools officials say law enforcement has cleared the campus and normal operations have been resumed.

ACS says law enforcement will remain on campus for security.


COLUMBIA, Ky. – Adair County Schools and law enforcement responded to a potential bomb threat Thursday afternoon.

According to a social media post by ACS, the district received a bomb threat call at one of the schools.

As of approximately 2 pm, all schools are currently on lockdown.

ACS says local law enforcement and emergency agencies are surveying and clearing the schools.

After surveying the campus, schools will resume normal operations, according to the post.

Officials say there is no substantiated threat at this time.
