BGPD Chief thanks Simpson County Sheriff’s Office for tornado relief
FRANKLIN, Ky. – Simpson County’s sheriff office got a big thank you from Bowling Green Police.
Bowling Green Police Chief Michael Delaney wrote Simpson County Sheriff Jere Dee Hopson a huge thank you letter. He said he appreciated the sheriff’s office for sending help after the tornado.
Mid-December, Hopson sent deputies to Bowling Green to relieve officers right in the midst of the most hectic time.
Hopson said that their hearts are with the tornado victims, and that their department is proud to serve alongside Bowling Green.
“You know, our prayers have been with the Warren County people throughout the events, and Simpson County was blessed enough to have missed the storm,” said Hopson. “We were kind of in its path, but it got around us which is a good thing. So, we always like to help out the communities surrounding us.”
Hopson said he wants to extend the Chief Delaney’s thanks to everyone in Simpson County who donated supplies, money and anything else to the tornado victims.
