Congressman Brett Guthrie announces annual Congressional Art Competition

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- South central Kentucky Congressman, Brett Guthrie, has announced the start of the 2019 Congressional Art Competition.

The competition is an annual high school art contest held by each House member in their respective congressional districts.

All high school art students are encouraged to submit artwork for the competition. artwork and application materials are due to Guthrie’s Bowling Green office by Wednesday, April 10.

The winner and finalists will be selected by an independent panel of art professors from colleges and universities across Kentucky’s second congressional district.

The first place winner will receive two tickets to fly to Washington, D.C. to view their artwork on display in the U.S. Capitol and attend a reception.

Winners will be announced, Tuesday, April 23.
