Gov. Andy Beshear is touting Kentucky’s progress toward reaching a post-pandemic normal while celebrating a startup bourbon distillery. The governor participated in a ribbon cutting Tuesday for a tasting room where visitors will sample spirits crafted at Log Still Distillery in Nelson County. The central Kentucky distillery was developed by a family with deep roots in the state’s bourbon history. Beshear says as more people get vaccinated, he’s “safely, steadily and sustainably” removing virus restrictions. He says the state is moving toward getting back to normal. The state reported 758 new coronavirus cases Tuesday and 23 more virus-related deaths.
