Kentucky reports 638 new coronavirus cases, 11 more deaths

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky has reported more than 630 new coronavirus cases and 11 more virus-related deaths. Gov. Andy Beshear says more than 1.85 million Kentuckians have received at least their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Anyone 16 or older is eligible to receive the vaccine in Kentucky. The state reported 638 new COVID-19 cases Friday. With the 11 deaths announced Friday, Kentucky’s death toll from the coronavirus is at least 6,559. The statewide rate of positive cases was 3.50%.
