MOSCOW (AP) — Imprisoned Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny says officials have threatened to force-feed him and end the hunger he started on March 31. In an Instagram post, Navalny said an official “detailed the joys of force-feeding to me. Straightjacket and other pleasures.” He says the official told him on Friday morning that a blood test indicated Navalny’s health is deteriorating. Navalny, President Vladimir Putin’s most vociferous critic, is demanding a visit from his doctor after developing severe back pain and numbness in his legs while in prison. He said his head was “spinning a lot” more than two weeks into his hunger strike but that he was “still walking.”
