Shogun Express hosting a fundraiser for a Bowling Green super hero in need
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – You may have heard about a local four-year-old who desperately needs the publics help in raising money for his medicine, or he could die.
Little Sawyer Burch has a rare metabolic disease, less than 100 people have it worldwide, and most kids die from it in their first weeks of life.
A new oil has shown success in fighting his condition and could likely keep him alive for years to come.
But, for now, his insurance is refusing to pay for the $150,000 per year medicine.
Sawyer is completely unaware that he is sick. For now, he believes he has superhero blood, and the doctors are to help him because he is super.
To help support he and his family, Shogun Express will have a food truck set up outside of WNKY’s station at 1018 Chestnut Wednesday from 11 to 2.
All proceeds will go toward the family.
