BG Rotary Club donates money to help gifted kids pay for summer camp

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Tuesday morning, the Bowling Green Rotary Club donated a check to the Center for Gifted Studies.

The donation will pay for six students to attend a summer camp on Western Kentucky Universities campus.

The scholarships will go towards kids who meet the gifted requirements who cannot afford to attend the camp otherwise.

The Center provides exciting educational opportunities for gifted young people, rigorous professional development for teachers, and support for parents of gifted young people.

The money comes from the Rotary Flags for Kids program where people can pay to have the club install an American flag in front of their home on certain holidays.

In total, the Rotary Club donated over $2,000 for gifted children to attend the camp at Gatton Academy.
