Tuesday update: Coronavirus numbers in south central Kentucky
Governor Andy Beshear is still in quarantine with his family on Tuesday. He says they are still testing negative but remaining in quarantine until the 14 day time has passed. He announced 1,312 new positive cases on Tuesday. There have now been 89,544 total cases since the start of the pandemic.
16 more Kentuckians have died from the virus Tuesday. This brings the total number of lives lost in Kentucky to 1,342.
According to the Barren River District Health Department, there have been 8,620 total cases in the surrounding counties combined since the start of the pandemic, 7,232 have recovered.
No new deaths are reported in the surrounding counties.
