Bowling Green City Commissioners approve fire training equipment, will examine transit

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green City Commissioners met Tuesday online for a special meeting.

The commission approved a new mobile ventilation training apparatus for the Fire Department. This training would train firefighters how to ventilate groups safely and on how to get smoke out of buildings safely.

Another topic of the meeting, the City of Bowling Green will also be hiring a contract transit manager who will observe and make recommendations on optimal ridership routes and hours.

Also, HOTEL INC of Bowling Green and Live the Dream Development, Inc. Of Bowling Green will be receiving a total of $740,000 for affordable and transitional housing.

The next scheduled Bowling Green City Commissioners meeting will be June 2, 2020.
