Green River Ferry to be in service starting Friday

MAMMOTH CAVE, Ky. – The Green River Ferry is scheduled to be in service beginning at 6 a.m. Friday, Nov. 6, according to Mammoth Cave National Park’s social media.
However, the park states the ferry will remain closed to all trailers and recreational vehicles due to low water conditions.
The ferry will remain in operation as long as water conditions allow, the park states.
Visitors using the ferry are reminded to follow all posted safety signs when loading or unloading. The park says the ferry has a maximum capacity of two vehicles and a total weight limit of 12 tons.
Operating hours for the ferry will be Monday through Sunday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
