Authorities execute drug bust at Springfield store

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. – A Tennessee market owner faces drug charges after authorities executed a search warrant on Oct. 23.
According to the Robertson County Sheriff’s Office, an investigation of Daniel’s Market, located at 308 Memorial Boulevard in Springfield, began after the alleged sale of THC products to minors.
Authorities obtained a search warrant for the store on Oct. 23. RCSO detectives located a large sum of money, several firearms and numerous illegal narcotics, according to RCSO.
Investigators say the store’s owner, 45-year-old Michael Youssef Shafek, retrieved the substances from a concealed area in the store to keep them from being visible.
RCSO says the case and formal criminal charges will be presented to a Robertson County Grand Jury.
“Our Sheriff’s Office team remains committed to protecting the citizens of Robertson County and keeping illegal drugs out of our community and away from our youth.
