Columbia man charged after allegedly assaulting juvenile

COLUMBIA, Ky. – An Adair County man is charged with robbery after an incident Sept. 12.

According to the Columbia Police Department, officers responded to a possible assault at a parking lot at approximately 10:49 p.m.

After an investigation, officers say the incident involved a male juvenile and 27-year-old Chance R. Burton of Columbia.

Burton was arrested and charged with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree assault (no visible injury).

Officers say the juvenile was not injured.

The investigation is ongoing.
