Authorities say suspect damaged several headstones at Metcalfe County cemetery

SUMMER SHADE, Ky. – The Metcalfe County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) says “several” headstones in the Summer Shade Cemetery were damaged sometime between Monday, Aug. 21 and Sunday, Sept. 6.

Authorities say the suspect(s) struck the headstones with a motor vehicle, believed to be a 2007 – 2014 Chevy Tahoe or Avalanche, or a 2013 – 2014 GMC Yukon, Suburban, or Escalade.

MCSO believes the vehicle is blue or gray and has noticeable damage to the front and sides.
