RC Cola gives back with RC Day in Bowling Green

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. — RC Cola celebrated its connection to Bowling Green on Thursday with the second annual RC Day.

The event gives the company an opportunity to give back to the community that has supported RC Cola for generations.

John Evans, district sales supervisor for Keurig Dr Pepper, said RC Day began last year as a way to recognize RC Cola’s 100-year connection to Bowling Green.

“RC Day is just a day for us to give back to the community that has helped support us,” Evans said.

RC Cola representatives visited locations around Bowling Green Thursday, handing out free ice-cold RC Colas and company merchandise, including koozies, air fresheners and lip balm.

Evans said spreading the celebration throughout the community is important because residents have played a major role in the company’s longevity.

“They’re the ones that keep us going,” Evans said. “They got us to 100 years.”

Evans said RC Cola hopes to continue giving back beyond RC Day through donations and other community projects.

“We just want to continue that tradition,” Evans said.

For Evans, the goal is to maintain the relationship between the brand and the community that has helped make it a Bowling Green staple.

“We want to be your friend. We want to be part of the community,” Evans said.
