2 sustain ‘serious injuries’ in wreck at Glasgow intersection

GLASGOW, Ky. (Glasgow News 1) – Authorities say two people are seriously injured after a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Kentucky Street and Myrtle Street, according to a report by Glasgow News 1.

On Wednesday, Glasgow News 1 reported Glasgow Police Chief Guy Howie confirmed the injuries involved were serious “but not believed to be life-threatening.” The crash occurred around 1 p.m. Wednesday, the report says.

Howie further stated a preliminary investigation found a Chevrolet appears to have ignored a stop sign on Kentucky Street, the report states. According to Glasgow News 1, during this time, another vehicle was traveling on Myrtle Street and passed through the intersection in front of Extreme Fitness.

According to the report, Howie stated the Chevrolet struck the other vehicle.

The collision caused the other vehicle to roll onto its roof before landing in a roadside ditch, according to Glasgow News 1.

Glasgow police and the Glasgow Fire Department responded to the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
