Port Oliver, Quarry Road recreation areas to reopen this weekend

BARREN COUNTY, Ky. — The Port Oliver and Quarry Road recreation areas at Barren River Lake will reopen this weekend, according to a social media post from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District.

Both recreation areas were closed for parking lot maintenance. Work is complete at Port Oliver, while maintenance at Quarry Road is expected to continue through Wednesday.

The Army Corps of Engineers thanked the community for its patience and understanding as crews complete improvements at the recreation areas.
