Women in Business Luncheon celebrates journeys worth taking

RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – Over 150 women gathered at the Logan County Extension Office on July 23 for the Logan County Chamber of Commerce’s 2026 Women in Business Luncheon. Centered around the theme “Worth the Trip,” the event celebrated leadership, achievement and the meaningful journeys of women throughout our community.

The 2026 Emerging Leader Scholarship was awarded to Brianna Lott, salutatorian of the Logan County High School graduating class. Brianna completed more than 33 dual-credit hours, earned numerous academic honors and remained active in volunteer service, agriculture and youth leadership. She plans to attend Western Kentucky University and pursue a career in human resources and business management.

The Chamber also presented its Spotlight Outstanding Women Awards to Tiffany Blick of PTL Fabricators and Carla White of The Wildflowers–Trembly Pool and Spa. Both women were recognized for their leadership, professional accomplishments and positive impact on the community.

Featured speaker and Logan County native Sherry Murphy, Executive Director of the Bowling Green Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, shared stories from her personal and professional journey. Her message encouraged attendees to embrace the challenges, opportunities and unexpected turns that make each person’s journey truly “worth the trip.”

Guests enjoyed lunch generously provided by Logan Aluminum, and each attendee received a swag bag filled with items from local businesses. The Chamber sincerely thanks every business that donated items and helped make the bags a special part of the event. A special thank-you also goes to BBG Events for providing the photo booth and beautiful event backdrop, giving guests a fun way to capture memories from the afternoon.
