National Weather Service Louisville confirms 5 tornadoes struck Kentucky on Tuesday

HART, METCALFE, GRAYSON COUNTIES, Ky. – The National Weather Service Louisville is confirming five total tornadoes struck Kentucky Tuesday evening during a severe weather event.
According to an update by the NWS Louisville on Thursday, the strongest tornado was an EF-2 that tracked through Grayson and Hart counties with top winds speeds of 115 miles per hour.
In addition, the NWS states EF-1 tornadoes hit Metcalfe County, Hardin County and Casey/Lincoln counties, along with an EF-0 in Bourbon County.
The NWS says Marion County was also damaged by 80 mph straight-line winds.
No other surveys are planned at this time.
