Bicyclist sustains serious injuries after crash in Hopkinsville

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A bicyclist sustained serious injuries after a crash in Hopkinsville Tuesday.

According to Hopkinsville Fire/EMS (HFE), personnel responded to the intersection of Fort Campbell Boulevard and Country Club Lane for a reported collision.

Crews arrived at the scene and located an individual who was ejected from an electric bicycle after being struck by a motor vehicle.

The bicyclist sustained serious injuries and was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Clarksville.

The driver of the motor vehicle did not sustain injuries.

HFE says this is the second accident involving an electric bicycle this month.
