Grand jury indicts three people accused in sale and purchase of infant
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A Warren County grand jury Wednesday indicted three people accused in the December sale and purchase of an infant.
A grand jury indicted Jose Pascual, 45; Maria Domingo-Perez, 31 and Catarina Felipe, 37, with one count each of sell or purchase a child for adoption, according to their indictments.
“We received information (Dec. 2) from Parker-Bennett-Curry Elementary School by saying that they had information that say woman may have given a baby away,” Bowling Green Police Department spokesman Officer Ronnie Ward said in December. “We responded to an address on West 10th and spoke with a woman. She gave conflicting statements but eventually did say she gave the baby away.
“She gave the couple’s name. We went and found the couple, was able to talk with them and they said that they had given $2,000 for the infant to the woman,” Ward said.
Domingo-Perez, who has five children, is accused of selling her infant to Pascual and Felipe.
Domingo-Perez’s remaining children were taken into state custody.
