21-year-old man dead after crash in Lewis County

VANCEBURG, Ky. – A 21-year-old man is dead after a two-vehicle crash in Lewis County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers responded to a reported two-vehicle injury collision with one fatality around 7:30 a.m. on Kentucky 10 near Harrison Hollow Road.
Authorities say a preliminary investigation found a pickup truck was traveling westbound on Kentucky 10 following another vehicle. During this time, troopers say the vehicles entered into a passing zone, and the pickup truck entered into the eastbound lane to pass the vehicle, striking a Chevrolet Silverado head on.
All four occupants were transported to Meadowview Regional Medical Center in Maysville for their injuries.
Twenty-one-year-old Charles A. Corns of Garrison was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital, authorities say.
Troopers say low visibility was reported due to heavy fog at the time of the collision.
KSP was assisted on scene by Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, Lewis County Fire and EMS. The collision remains under investigation.
