1 dead after crash in Pike County

PIKEVILLE, Ky. – One person is dead following a crash in Pike County on Wednesday.

According to the Kentucky State Police, troopers were notified of a single-vehicle collision around 3:51 p.m. The crash occurred on U.S. 23 in the Pikeville community.

Authorities say the preliminary investigation showed Paul Bisbee was driving an SUV southbound when his vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes and hit a concrete bridge wall.

Bisbee was pronounced dead at the scene by the Pike County Coroner’s Office.

The collision remains under investigation.
