First responders battle structure fire in Clay County

CLAY COUNTY, Ky. – Units responded for a reported structure fire in Clay County on Tuesday.
According to a social media post by the City of Manchester Fire Department, around 9:49 p.m., Manchester units were dispatched to a large building fire at 1030 KY – 638.
Upon arrival, firefighters say they located heavy smoke conditions coming from the front of the building.
Firefighters say they quickly forced entry using a saw and other tools before working to put out the flames.
Firefighters say they brought the fire under control and extinguished it without incident.
Crews remained on scene to ensure hot spots were fully put out, according to the department. No injuries were reported.
Manchester firefighters were assisted on scene by the Bush Fire Department, Fogertown Fire Department, Clay County Sheriff’s Office and Manchester Police Department.
The cause of the fire has not been released at this time.
