Caneyville Fire Department deploys boat to rescue man suffering medical emergency

CANEYVILLE, Ky. – A man suffering from a medical emergency was rescued by Grayson County first responders Tuesday.

According to K105, the Caneyville Fire Department, Grayson County EMS and the Grayson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a medical call on Tuesday morning. The patient lives on Caneyville Cutoff Road, which was impassable due to high water.

Caneyville FD deployed a board to cross floodwaters to reach the patient.

“After reaching the patient, Caneyville FD brought the patient out to (Deputy Chance Anthony), who then took the patient to the top of a hill to meet EMS,” Fire Chief Brian Pharris told K105.

The patient was transported to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center for treatment.
