GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. – Two people are injured after a crash in Graves County on Wednesday.

According to a social media post by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded around 7:36 a.m. to the area of 11210 State Line Road for a two-vehicle injury collision.

Authorities say an investigation determined 19-year-old Harley Davis Todd of Dresden, Tennessee was operating an SUV westbound on State Line Road when it struck the back of a waste management truck.

The driver of the truck, 31-year-old Travis Fort of Mayfield, was stopped at 11210 State Line Road with his emergency lights on and was exiting the vehicle when the vehicle was rear-ended, according to deputies.

Todd was transported to the Latham Fire Department by the Weakley County EMS, where he was flown to TriStar Skyline Medical Center for treatment of his injuries.

Fort was taken to Jackson Purchase Medical Center by Mayfield/Graves County EMS for non-life-threatening injuries. The passenger in the waste management truck was identified as 26-year-old Austyn Tyler Fitzner of Almo, Kentucky, who was not injured, authorities say.

The sheriff’s office was also assisted on scene by the Cuba Fire Department and the Weakley County Sheriff’s office.
