3 arrested in connection with fatal shooting in Hopkinsville

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – A woman is dead after a shooting in Hopkinsville.
According to Hopkinsville Fire/EMS (HFE), agencies responded to a reported shooting in the 3000 block of Calvin Drive (Eagle Crossing Apartments) just before midnight Monday.
Upon arrival, first responders located a woman with multiple gunshot wounds, according to HFE.
The Hopkinsville Police Department told WKDZ the woman was found lying in a field and had injuries to her shoulder and abdomen. The woman is identified as 19-year-old Neveah Gill.
HFE says that the woman went into cardiac arrest during transportation and was diverted to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Gill later died.
According to WKDZ, HPD officers responded to the hospital after family members allegedly caused a disturbance with medical staff.
The Hopkinsville Police Department arrested three people in connection with the incident.
De’Quavion Bronaugh is charged with first-degree murder.
Jervontae Bussell and Dereon Sharp are charged with first-degree burglary.
The investigation is ongoing.
