Warren County Fire Departments respond to two water rescues

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Fire Department System responded to two rescues this weekend.

According to a social media post, Alvaton and Plano Fire Departments responded to a farm following reports of a 1,200-pound cow falling down an embankment and into a creek Saturday evening.

After a four-hour rescue, firefighters freed the cow safely and returned it to its owner.

On Sunday, units from Alvaton, Gott and Plano Fire Departments responded to a water rescue on Drakes Creek.

Four people became lost and suffered minor injuries while floating the creek, according to the social media post.

The Warren County Sheriff’s Office and Warren County Emergency Management provided a drone to assist in locating the group and bringing them back to shore.
