Local nonprofit caring for foster children to host fundraising dinner

LOGAN COUNTY, Ky. – A local nonprofit is hosting a chance to support foster children next month.

Isaiah 117 House for Logan, Simpson and Butler counties is inviting the community to attend A Seat at the Table, an evening of tasting dishes from local chefs, all while raising money.

The nonprofit states its goal is to “change the way foster care begins.” Isaiah 117 House helps provide an environment for foster children during a very uncertain time in their lives, providing shelter, food and other necessities before they are placed in a home.

The nonprofit shares often how support from the community helps directly impact children in its care.

Tickets for the upcoming event will cost $17 per person, organizers say.

The event is scheduled for July 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Logan County Extension Office at 255 John Paul Road in Russellville.
