BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – An Allen County man is charged after allegedly shooting into an apartment.

According to a uniform citation, officers responded to Wiltshire Street to a possible shots-fired disturbance late Monday evening.

When officers arrived, they located four individuals at an apartment complex.

The victim told police that 29-year-old Jordan Napier, of Adolphus, and a female arrived at the apartment complex to retrieve Napier’s belongings. The victim said Napier “became upset” that his belongings were outside, which led to Napier and the victim engaging in a physical altercation.

Police say the victim returned to the apartment and saw Napier allegedly pointing a firearm at the door and heard him making verbal threats. Napier allegedly fired two rounds at the door.

According to the citation, Napier provided officers with conflicting accounts of the incident.

During the investigation, officers located two suspected bullet holes in the back door of the apartment. Officers say bullets traveled through multiple rooms in the apartment.

A witness told police that she observed a man matching Napier’s description during the incident. Officers also reviewed video surveillance footage from a neighboring structure and observed a man matching Napier’s description, according to the citation.

During a search, officers say they located suspected drugs in Napier’s possession.

Napier was arrested on charges of first-degree wanton endangerment (discharge of firearm), first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first-offense (drug unspecified), second-degree disorderly conduct, third-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree criminal mischief. He was lodged at the Warren County Regional Jail.

The investigation is ongoing.
