Motorcyclist sustains injuries in Grayson County crash

CLARKSON, Ky. – A motorcyclist sustained injuries in a crash in Grayson County Thursday.
According to K105, emergency personnel responded to the accident at the intersection of East Main Street (Highway 62) and Millerstown Street (Highway 224) at approximately 5:40 pm.
First responders located a 57-year-old female motorcyclist at the scene.
Authorities told K105 the motorcycle was traveling west on East Main Street and failed to stop at a red light. The woman attempted to avoid hitting another vehicle that was turning left at the intersection and then crashed.
The motorcyclist sustained head injuries. Authorities say she was not wearing a helmet.
K105 says the woman was transported by EMS to Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Medical Center for treatment.
Clarkson Police Chief Buck Meredith, Grayson County Deputy Caleb Fisher, the Clarkson Fire Department, and EMS responded to the accident.
The investigation is ongoing.
