1 flown for injury treatment after crash on Porter Pike Friday morning

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an injury collision.

According to a social media post, deputies responded to a “serious” injury crash with entrapment in the 1600 block of Porter Pike at 2:10 am Friday.

Witnesses told deputies they saw a vehicle driving at a high rate of speed that went off the road near NCM Motorsports Park, struck an embankment, and went airborne.

The vehicle went over a wooden fence, landed in a field, and overturned multiple times, according to the post.

The driver of the vehicle was flown to a Nashville hospital for injury treatment.

According to the post, alcoholic beverage containers were located inside and outside the vehicle.

Speed and alcohol are suspected to be factors in the crash.

The Gott Fire Department, Bowling Green Fire Department, Medical Center EMS, and Air Evac assisted the Warren County Sheriff’s Office at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
