SKyPAC announces concert honoring long-time Orchestra KY music director

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – THE Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center is honoring a long-time music director in September.
According to a release, SKyPAC will host Final Bow: Jeff Reed’s Farewell Concert on Monday, September 21.
The concert will honor Reed’s 26-year tenure as Music Director for Orchestra Kentucky with works that highlight his career and include special guest performers from throughout his tenure.
Reed founded Orchestra Kentucky in 2000. His career includes serving as conductor of orchestras of Alabama, Augusta, Charleston, Detroit, Greensboro (NC), Knoxville, Louisville, Memphis, Nashville, Omaha, Phoenix, Portland (ME), Quad Cities (IA), Sacramento, South Bend and Winston-Salem.
Joseph Trafton Jr. was named new Music Director on May 7.
Reed will continue to serve as President & CEO of SKYPAC.
