Glasgow man charged after police say he attempted to meet juvenile for sex

GLASGOW, Ky. (WNKY) – A Glasgow man was arrested Tuesday after police said he traveled to meet a juvenile for sexual purposes following communication through the online platform ‘Grindr’.

According to the Glasgow Police Department, officers responded to a residence on Lexington Drive on June 9 after receiving a complaint.

Police said an investigation determined Kalvin Lee Timm had communicated with a male through the website Grindr and went to the residence to meet the individual. Investigators said the person Timm was meeting was a juvenile.

Timm was arrested and charged with first-degree sexual abuse and third-degree sodomy.

He was lodged in the Barren County Detention Center.

Officer Dawson Wooten made the arrest.

No additional details were released Tuesday. The investigation remains ongoing.
