Last World War II veteran in Allen County celebrates 100th birthday

ALLEN COUNTY, Ky. – On Saturday, the Allen County community celebrated a large milestone for one local veteran.

According to the Allen County Historical Museum and Genealogical Society, many people turned out to honor the birthday celebration for James “Boss” Weaver, the last World War II veteran in Allen County.

Weaver celebrated his 100th birthday, complete with a large cake and his uniform on display.

Community members celebrated Weaver for his service and legacy in the local area.
