Elizabethtown Fire Department mourns loss of longtime firefighter

ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. – The Elizabethtown Fire Department is mourning the loss of longtime Firefighter Ryan Druen.
According to a social media post on Friday, he served the department for 24 years as a dedicated engineer.
The Elizabethtown Fire Department says Druen was known for “the pride he took in the fire service and for the time he invested into the next generation of firefighters.”
The department further stated, “He poured countless hours of training, truck knowledge and real-world experience into fellow firefighters, always making sure they were prepared and confident on the job. His willingness to teach left a lasting impact on everyone who had the privilege of serving alongside him.”
“Please keep his family, friends and the entire Elizabethtown Fire Department in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time. Rest easy, brother. We have it from here.”
